It doent happen in Indyiah!

The mystery of Ireland's worst driver screams BBC. I wonder how many times this happen in India? Maybe not, since when have police simply noted a driver's address to send the parking fine? Here we usually pay it upfront, discount if you don't demand a receipt : )

Actually, in hyderabad, a few of my colleagues did receive a Fine receipt to their address from TrafficPolice... What the Police did was, note down the vehicle number and send the receipt to the address given while registration. Infact, i have seen even traffic police standing with a paper, pen and camera at few junctions. Here is the latest

I have also heard that in Chennai, there are Traffic cameras in Mount Road to fine the vehicles which donot follow lane rules.

Ofcourse, even direct fining and corruption still exists...but as always, we are changing slowly :)
